Freehouse run by Russ & June Green. Proper landlord this chap, looks after his beers well and usually wears a tie... proper landlord. Good home cooking Thur to Sun lunch. Try a bowl of chips with a pint... proper chips.

Freehouse run by **** & Viv ****. Not my type of pub this but it will be for many. Recently refurbed and very well done, was called the Smith's Arms and is now the brewery tap of the new Raw Brewery.

Freehouse known locally as Bottom Duck. Run by John & Kathy Chadwick who do great value food and well looked after beers. CAMRA crackheads will like this one.

Freehouse run by Brian Johnson, the first black, blonde haired model, back in the 80's. If you have to be in Sheffield city centre then this is the best pub to be in. Tucked away down a side street, just off West St.

Tied to Everards but lots of micro brewery beers. Super refurb and had a great first year but seems to be waning a little.

Great pub if it's food you're after but just for a pint... naw. Full of Thornbridge garage beer but a choice of world beers, especially the Belgium ones, redeems it.

The original real ale pub in Chesterfield was beginning to get a little tired but the new football stadium should liven it up. Always a good mixture of mainstrem and microbrewery cask ales.

Freehouse. An era ended when Tom the old landlord passed away a few years ago but the new owner has given the place a fabulous refurb. Now food driven and it's top class food with a quality choice of beers and wines.

Don't know much about this place, one of the few places that I keep myself to myself. What I can tell you is that it's got some great beers, nearly 150 of them. Very studenty clientele but right enough folk.

Family run pub, good food and now into cask ales. Live entertainment every week and good value B&B accommodation.

Got to be the best little pub under 9m² floor area anywhere. Good beer and good folk go in.

Tied to Townes Brewery and it's their Brewery Tap. Needs a mainstream hand pulled beer and a few more world beers but the craic is special.
ABOUT BURGIN'S BEER RUN
All the best pubs in Sheffield, Chesterfield and Worksop, according to him that is. The reviews are his personal views but are based on a 40 year drinking career. To give a balance, each review is linked to Google Places that collates reviews from all over the internet.
Burgin's preference in beer is the mainstream brews such as Adnams, Fullers and Batemans, pulled with a thick creamy head. Most of the Belgium beers are heaven to him. He finds most micro brews too hoppy.
The delivery used to show Burgin running around the pubs is very CPU intensive, so much so that your chip will sizzle and keep you warm during the winter months. So some users will have to close all other running programs and browser tabs. Sadly, the Internet Explorer browser isn't advanced enough to render multiple images. You can download the Google Chrome browser here , we promise you it will be worth it, it's courtesy of Google and Arcade Fire, a innovative band from Canada. If you're not struck dumb by the experience then you're just like Burgin, clearly going out far too much.
